Zed is celebrating 30 years as one of the most distinctive voices in independent, progressive publishing. Over the last three decades we have published more than 1,000 titles. Each of these books had a common goal: to give voice to people, places and issues at the margins. Our critical perspectives on topics including trade, aid, government and development are now more current than ever. Today, looking forward, we strive to stay at the cutting edge.

To display the diversity, variety and excitement of Zed's publishing, we are showcasing 30 of Zed's most successful titles, one for each year. Our publishing has also refused to be confined to traditional disciplinary boundaries. All these books are available throughout the world now directly from Zed, through our website and from all good bookshops.

We would also like to thank the many organizations that have worked with Zed over the years in joint projects to develop books and also to bring them to a truly global audience. We acknowledge the support and would like to take the opportunity to thank our partners and supporters throughout the world for the messages and congratualations. Without them what we do would not be possible.
